He said that Zomato is an accidental company. He wrote that the decision to change the name has been taken as part of the plan to rebrand the parent company, so that a new identity of the company can be established.
He said that when we bought Blinkit, we started using the name “Eternal” internally to differentiate between the company and the brand/app. We also thought of changing the company’s name to Eternal publicly, now that opportunity has come, so we are now changing the name of Zomato Limited to Eternal Limited. Goyal has described the name Eternal as a powerful name. He said that this decision was not easy. It has been completed as a mission.
