Dell has informed in its filing that the company has been facing a continuous decline in computer sales for almost 2 years. Therefore, to maintain profits, the company was forced to make layoffs. Due to decrease in demand, the company’s revenue has decreased by 11 percent. This was confirmed by the quarterly results announced last month. The company said that it was facing financial crisis due to reduction in revenue, hence a difficult decision was taken to lay off the employees.
Expecting good sales this year
However, the company has estimated in its exchange filing that its client solutions business, including personal computers, may go up this year. Falling demand is troubling them. Nevertheless, he remains optimistic about increasing sales. Dell said that it will move forward by keeping computer prices right in fiscal year 2025. This will help them in increasing their revenue.
