What is Subhadra Yojana?

Actually, this Subhadra Yojana will be run by the Odisha government. Women empowerment will be promoted through this. According to the Odisha government, about one crore women will be given the benefit of this scheme.

When will the scheme start and what will be the benefits?

Subhadra Yojana will be launched on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday i.e. 17 September. Under this scheme, women will be given Rs 10,000 annually and this money will be given to eligible women in two installments of Rs 5,000 each. According to the government, this scheme will be run from 2024-25 to 2028-29.

A total amount of Rs 50,000 will be given to women in these five years. This money will be sent directly to the bank accounts of women through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Apart from this, women will also be given debit cards and 100 women out of those women who make the maximum number of digital transactions in every Gram Panchayat and urban body will get an additional Rs 500.

Who will be eligible?

  • Women whose age is between 21 to 60 years will be considered eligible
  • The applicant must be a native of Odisha state
  • Women who are Government servants are not eligible
  • Even women who pay taxes will not be able to avail the benefits
  • At the same time, women who are already taking benefit of Rs 1500 under any state scheme will also not be eligible for this scheme.

Eligible women can apply like this

If you are eligible, you will have to get the form from Anganwadi Center or Block Office or Mo-Seva Center and Jan Seva Kendra. You can apply by filling the form and attaching the relevant documents.
