Wine Shops Will be Closed A big news has come out for the liquor lovers. From today the liquor shops will remain closed for four days. If you too are thinking of buying liquor then this news is for you.

Actually, elections are being held in 100 municipal bodies of Uttarakhand today. After which the result will be declared on 25th January. After which Republic Day will be celebrated on 26th January. In view of which it has been announced to close the liquor shops here for four days. However, they will be opened in the evening after the voting on 23rd January.

Decision taken in view of election

This decision has been taken to make the election process peaceful and safe. Closing the liquor shops and bars helps in preventing any kind of anti-social activities or violence during voting. Apart from this, Republic Day also has a special significance, and it is important to celebrate this day in a peaceful and respectful manner. Due to the closure of liquor shops for four days, the enthusiasts may have to face trouble.

India-Nepal border will be sealed today

The Indo-Nepal border will be sealed at Dharchula from 5 pm today, i.e. on the 21st, 48 hours before the municipal elections and counting of votes in Uttarakhand. However, the border will remain open during the municipal elections in Tanakpur and Banbasa. During this, strict checking will be done. According to SDM Manjeet Singh, in view of the municipal elections, the Dharchula bridge will be closed 48 hours before the polling. The DM will issue a detailed order in this regard by late Monday night. The border will be closed at 5 pm on January 21, 48 hours prior to the municipal elections in Dharchula and the international border will remain sealed till the end of voting at 5 pm on January 23.
