A lawyer who booked a flight ticket from Lucknow to Bangalore questioned Indigo Airlines about the “cute fee”. He jokingly asked whether this fee is being charged for the “cuteness” of the passengers or for the “cuteness” of the aircraft?

He asked whether this fee is necessary in addition to the taxes paid to the government for the safety of the passenger? On this, IndiGo said that “User Development Fee” is charged for the development and maintenance of airport infrastructure, while “Aviation Security Fee” is charged for airport operators.
