At the same time, snowfall continues in the hilly areas. According to the Meteorological Department, similar weather is going to remain in the coming days. The cold is going to intensify due to rain and snowfall. Western Disturbance, which has become active for the next three days, is going to bring a big change in the weather. During this time, hailstorm is also likely in many states of the state along with light to moderate rain. Light to moderate rain is expected at some places and dense fog at some places.
Heavy rain and snowfall forecast
There are chances of further increase in cold in many parts of the country. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain and snowfall is expected in the western Himalayan regions on 27th and 28th December due to a new western disturbance. At the same time, there are chances of rain and hailstorm in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, West Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Gujarat on 27th December and at some places in West Madhya Pradesh on 28th December.
Temperature dropped by one to three degrees
During the last 24 hours, the minimum temperature has increased by one to three degrees in some parts of Uttar Pradesh, East and Central India and decreased by one to three degrees Celsius in some parts of North-West India. According to the Meteorological Department, due to continuous snowfall in the mountains and western disturbances, people in the plains will have to face biting cold.
Rain in many areas of Delhi, cold increased
It has been raining lightly in Delhi-NCR since Friday morning. This has increased the cold. In many areas it is raining heavily while in many areas it is raining lightly. The temperature has dropped due to the rain that has been going on overnight. According to the Meteorological Department, dense clouds will remain throughout the day on Friday. Along with this, light to moderate rain is possible. There is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning. The maximum temperature in the capital can be 20 and the minimum 11 degrees. The IMD has issued an alert for rain and fog for the next two to three days.
