Varanasi: After 15 days of humid heat in UP, the rainy season has started. On Friday (26 July), rain may fall from the sky from eastern Uttar Pradesh to western Uttar Pradesh. IMD has issued an alert regarding this.
It is believed that in the next 48 hours, 75 percent of the districts of UP may receive rain. Apart from this, the weather department has also expressed the possibility of lightning in many districts.
BHU meteorologist Professor Manoj Kumar Srivastava said that the monsoon trough i.e. the low pressure area is now shifting from Madhya Pradesh to Uttar Pradesh. Due to which, along with the movement of clouds, rain is also being seen in UP. It is expected that there may be good rain in many districts of UP in the next 24 to 36 hours.
Rain alert here today
It is estimated that on Friday, moderate rain may occur in many districts of UP including Lucknow, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Lakhimpur Kheri, Lalitpur, Bijnor, Moradabad, Mahoba, Shahjahanpur, Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Meerut, Ghaziabad.

Rainfall in these areas on Thursday
Many of these areas also received heavy rainfall on Thursday. On Thursday, UP’s capital Lucknow received rain both in the morning and evening. Apart from this, Varanasi also witnessed heavy rainfall for an hour at around 6 pm amidst the movement of sunshine and clouds throughout the day. Apart from this, it also rained in Prayagraj.
People got relief from heat.
Not only this, due to continuous rain in Lalitpur, flood-like conditions were created. In Moradabad also, people got relief from the humid heat due to heavy rain. Apart from this, flood-like conditions were also seen in many areas due to rain.
