Weather Update: The weather has been changing continuously for the past few days. The temperature is continuously decreasing. Cold winds are blowing due to rain in many states. The Meteorological Department said that the effect of fog and smoke will continue.

Dense fog is expected from Rajasthan, Punjab, Delhi to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar during the night and morning. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has forecast rain in Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Pathankot and other surrounding areas. Rain (heavy rain alert) is still continuing in the interior parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka.

The Meteorological Department said that dense fog is falling in Terai parts of Northwest India’s Punjab, Haryana, West Rajasthan, Chandigarh, Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar and West Uttar Pradesh. While Amritsar, Patiala, Hisar and Udhampur recorded zero meter visibility due to fog. Visibility dropped to 200 to 300 meters at Safdarjung, Palam and other places in Delhi. The Meteorological Department says that there is no possibility of relief from dense fog in the coming 2-3 days.

The Meteorological Department said that the speed of winds coming from the west has stopped. The fury of pollution continues in Delhi. However, a drop in temperature has been recorded. On Sunday, Delhi recorded maximum temperature of 28 to 30 degrees and minimum temperature of 12 to 17 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department said that East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Delhi, East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar recorded minimum temperatures two to three degrees below normal. Along with this, the lowest temperature of this season was recorded in Delhi at 11.8 degrees Celsius.

Fog continues across North India. The Meteorological Department said that morning and late night fog is likely in Punjab, Delhi, East Uttar Pradesh and North Bihar. Dense fog is likely in West Rajasthan, Bihar and West Punjab. IMD has issued an orange fog alert. Also, the Meteorological Department has issued a Yellow Fog Alert for parts of East Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Uttarakhand.
