Varanasi: Monsoon is active in Uttar Pradesh. It has been raining in many districts of eastern and western parts of UP for the last four days. On Tuesday, 6th August also, it will rain in UP due to movement of clouds.
The weather department has predicted good rain in the districts around western UP and Bundelkhand. According to the weather department’s alert, it may rain in 26 districts of UP on Tuesday.
According to the IMD alert, good rains may occur in Gonda, Shravasti, Bahraich, Balrampur, Jhansi, Meerut, Gorakhpur, Lalitpur, Shahjahanpur, Kushinagar, Hardoi, Maharajganj, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Bijnor and Sant Kabir Nagar of UP. At the same time, light drizzle may occur in many districts including Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Varanasi, Bhadohi, Chandauli, Prayagraj of eastern Uttar Pradesh.

A new monsoon system is being formed again
Professor Manoj Kumar Srivastava, a meteorologist at Banaras Hindu University, said that low pressure is formed near Jhansi in UP. Due to which there is a possibility of good rain in many districts of western UP and Bundelkhand. Apart from this, a new system of low pressure is also developing, due to which there is a possibility of rain in the districts of eastern UP in the next 24 hours.
Chances of rain from 9th to 10th August
After the rain, the temperature may decrease by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius. After the formation of this monsoon trough line, it will rain again in entire UP from 7 August. After that, the rain will continue intermittently from 9 to 10 August. On the other hand, due to rain, there are flood-like conditions in many districts including Varanasi, Mirzapur, Badaun. There is panic among the people living in the low-lying areas in Varanasi. Because the water level of Ganga is now continuously rising.
