Weather Update: Since the beginning of the month of August, Delhi-NCR has been receiving continuous monsoon rains. This month, the national capital Delhi has received heavy or less rain almost every day.
At the same time, the 78th Independence Day is near and due to the continuous rain, the Meteorological Department has predicted that this rain may disrupt the grand celebrations to be held in Delhi.
Apart from Delhi, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast ‘heavy rainfall’ for six days in the western Himalayan region and Northeast India. These areas include Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, etc.

Heavy rain occurred at many places in the capital late on Monday night. This made the weather pleasant and the temperature also remained low. However, Delhiites also had to face problems due to rain and waterlogging. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has predicted that Delhi will remain cloudy on Tuesday as well. There may be light rain at some places. The maximum temperature is expected to be 33 degrees and the minimum 26 degrees Celsius. During this time, the wind speed can be up to 10 kilometers per hour.

Heavy rain warning in many districts of UP today
Monsoon is active in UP and good rain is being seen in the cities. Meteorologist Dr. Atul Kumar says that till August 17, most of the districts of the state will receive showers with thunder and lightning. Heavy rain may also occur at some places. In Kanpur of the state, there are chances of light to moderate rain at local level with strong winds and thunder and lightning due to light clouds in the next five days.
There will be heavy rain in Bihar for the next 7 days
Monsoon’s effect is visible in entire Bihar including the capital Patna. Due to its effect, light to heavy rainfall with thunderstorms is expected at different places in Patna and other districts for the next seven days. On Tuesday, light rainfall is expected in Patna and other parts, while a yellow alert has been issued for heavy rainfall in five districts Gopalganj, Siwan, Buxar, Kaimur and Rohtas. There is no possibility of any significant change in temperature during the next five days.
Where will it rain in the next 24 hours?
During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with heavy rains may occur at some places in Uttarakhand, Haryana, Delhi, East Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, parts of Madhya Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Jharkhand, Northeast India, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema and South Interior Karnataka.
At the same time, waterlogging is also expected at some places in East Rajasthan. Apart from this, light to moderate rain is possible in the coastal areas of Ganges in West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Vidarbha, South Interior Karnataka, Goa, Coastal Karnataka, Coastal Maharashtra, East Gujarat, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
