Weather Report: The Meteorological Department has issued a new warning today. The department said that there is a possibility of severe heat wave in Delhi and surrounding states till April 9.

The Meteorological Department said that the heat wave will continue in Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, West and East Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh till April 10.

However, the Meteorological Department has also spoken of the simultaneous formation of cyclones over the land of Madhya Pradesh, Andaman Nicobar and Arabian Sea. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall along with strong winds and thunderstorms in the areas under their influence. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in peninsular India, Andaman Nicobar, Odisha and the states of the North East. Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain in the southern parts of West Bengal which is part of the Ganges.

Rain in the South

Along with this, the Meteorological Department has also issued a rain alert for the states of South India. According to the Meteorological Department, this can also be called pre-monsoon. Today and tomorrow, rain may fall in Kerala, Mahe, Assam, Meghalaya, Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur and Tripura.

Impact of Cyclonic Winds

According to Skymet Weather, South India is now in the grip of pre-monsoon activities due to cyclonic winds over North Karnataka. Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh will experience heavy rain and thunderstorms for about a week. However, there will be differences in the intensity and location of the rain. Western parts of South India will be affected by heavy rain, strong winds and thunderstorms.

Heat will increase after mid-April

The month of March, especially between March 10 and 15, witnessed a tremendous increase in temperature. Conditions ranging from heat wave to scorching heat were created in many parts of Gujarat and Rajasthan. The weather had given some relief in the second half of March, but April has brought scorching heat.

Temperatures crossed 40 degrees Celsius in many cities.

According to Skymet Weather, the mercury has already been recorded above 40 degrees Celsius in cities like Rajkot, Surendranagar, Bhuj, Amreli, Ahmedabad and Deesa in Gujarat. Along with this, the same situation prevails in areas like Jaisalmer, Barmer, Jodhpur, Bikaner and Kota in Rajasthan, where the temperature has reached close to 40 degrees Celsius.
