Heavy Rain Warning: Due to change in weather system, weather has completely changed in most of the states of North India. It is raining in Delhi, UP, Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand and North Eastern states.
Rains have wreaked havoc in UP in the last two days. 22 people have died. 45 cattle have also died. Same is the condition of Bihar. Dozens of people have lost their lives due to rain. The weather department has predicted that it will keep raining in the coming 48 hours. There will be light to heavy rains from Delhi, UP to Bihar, Jharkhand.

It has been raining in Uttar Pradesh since last Wednesday. On Thursday, there was a catastrophic downpour from the sky. 22 people died in the state due to rain, storm and lightning. 45 animals also lost their lives. 15 houses have been damaged due to lightning. The state has suffered a lot of damage due to rain. The weather department estimates that the period of rain, lightning and strong winds will continue in more than 40 districts of the state on Friday and Saturday as well. The weather department has issued an alert. Storms and rain will continue in dozens of districts of the state till April 13.
Rain brought relief from heat in Delhi
The weather has changed in the country’s capital Delhi as well. Strong winds blew in the state on Thursday. Light rain was recorded in many areas. There was a sudden change in the weather in Delhi on Thursday evening. It rained in many areas. People got some relief from the heat due to light rain. The India Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain, light thunderstorm, lightning and strong winds at the speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour in many parts of Delhi on Friday as well.
25 people died due to hailstorm and lightning in Bihar (Rain Alert Bihar)
It rained in many districts of Bihar on Thursday. 25 people died due to lightning and hailstorm. According to CMO, 18 people have died in Nalanda. Apart from this, two people died in Siwan, one each in Katihar, Darbhanga, Begusarai, Bhagalpur and Jehanabad. Earlier on Wednesday, 13 people died due to lightning in four districts of Bihar. The havoc of rain was seen in Bihar on Thursday as well. After heavy rain on Thursday, waterlogging was seen in many parts of the capital Patna.
Rain and hailstorm in Jharkhand, four people injured
Jharkhand also witnessed rain and hailstorm on Thursday. At least four people have been injured due to lightning in the state. Apart from rain, strong winds also blew in many parts of the state. Officials said that many trees were also uprooted due to strong winds, which disrupted traffic in some areas. Hailstorm occurred at many places including Dhanbad, Hazaribagh and Koderma, causing damage to standing crops. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for hailstorm, lightning and strong winds in some parts of Jharkhand.
How is the weather system right now?
According to a report by Skymet Weather, the low pressure area over West Central Bay of Bengal is still active, with the cyclonic circulation extending up to the mid-tropospheric level. This system will gradually weaken after entering the Bay of Bengal in some time. Apart from this, a trough line extends from this cyclonic circulation to South Tamil Nadu. Another cyclonic circulation is formed over West Rajasthan and adjoining areas. Another cyclonic circulation is located over North-West Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas. Due to these seasonal activities, the weather will remain harsh in many states of the country for the next 48 hours.
Where will it rain in the next few hours
According to a report by Skymet Weather, in the next few hours, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal including Bihar, along with thunderstorms and lightning at some places. Apart from this, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Kerala and coastal Karnataka may receive light to moderate rain along with thunderstorms and heavy rain. Lakshadweep, interior Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Western Himalayan region may receive light to moderate rain. There may be snowfall at one or two places in Arunachal Pradesh and upper regions of Western Himalayas. Today, light rain is also expected in Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema.
