Heavy rain warning in Rajasthan

- Cyclone Biparjoy, which made landfall in Gujarat on June 15, has now weakened into a deep depression and moved East-North East with a speed of 05 kmph.
- IMD has said that it will further weaken into a depression during next 6 hours, move east-northeast and maintain the intensity of a depression during subsequent 18 hours.
- Heavy rain with isolated thundershowers will occur over North Gujarat and Southwest Rajasthan on Saturday. There will be heavy rains in central Rajasthan on Sunday. Strong winds with a speed of more than 80 kmph are expected along the path of Cyclone Biparjoy till Monday.
- Heavy Monsoon rains and thunderstorms are likely over Northeast India from June 17-21. Similarly, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning very likely over South India during next five days.
- Scattered rain may occur in Delhi. Scattered to fairly widespread rain and thundershowers are also likely over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during this period.
