Heavy rain expected in Tamil Nadu, Orange alert issued

The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for southern Tamil Nadu. The Regional Meteorological Center (RMC) said on Wednesday that heavy rains are expected in southern Tamil Nadu. Due to this, Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli and Thoothukudi districts may receive heavy rains. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in these areas as well as Tenkasi district. Also, fishermen have been advised not to go into the sea due to the threat of cyclonic storm. Apart from this, cloudy weather is expected in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
