Weather Forecast: The low pressure area formed over East Central Arabian Sea off the coasts of Karnataka and Goa is likely to move northwestwards and turn into a depression over Central Arabian Sea during the next 2-3 days.
Due to this, heavy rains may occur at many places. According to the Meteorological Department, Kerala, Mahe and Tamil Nadu will receive very heavy rains for the next three to four days, while a warning of very heavy rains has also been issued for the Ghat areas of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya.
Talking about the last 24 hours, very heavy rains occurred in Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Northern Interior Karnataka, Gujarat, Kerala, Mahe and Gangetic West Bengal. The Meteorological Department has said that the monsoon will leave Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and the remaining parts of Maharashtra, Bihar and Jharkhand in the next three days.
Talking about the weather of South India, rain is going to continue for a week in Lakshadweep, Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, South Interior Karnataka, North Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam. Out of this, heavy rain is going to occur in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal on 10-15 October, Kerala, Mahe for a week, Lakshadweep on 10 October, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema on 14-16 October, North Interior Karnataka on 10 and 11 October, South Interior Karnataka on 10-12 and 14 October.
The weather department forecast for Northeast India is that Arunachal Pradesh will receive rain for the next four days. Out of this, there will be heavy rain for the next three days, while there is an alert of heavy rain in Assam, Meghalaya on 10 and 11 October. Talking about Western India, Konkan, Goa will receive very heavy rain on 10 and 11 October. Konkan, Goa, Gujarat may receive heavy rain on 10-13 October, Madhya Maharashtra on 10-12 October, Saurashtra and Kutch on 11-13 October.
