Weather Forecast: IMD has issued an alert regarding heavy rain in these districts for the next two days

Monsoon is active in UP. After Tuesday, rain will continue in many districts of eastern and western region of UP on Wednesday as well. The monsoon trough line is also shifting now. Due to which the hope of rain has increased with the movement of clouds in entire UP.

According to the Meteorological Department, the Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain in many adjoining districts including Jhansi, Lalitpur.

On Wednesday (7 August), intermittent rain will continue in many districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh including Varanasi, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Chandauli, Bhadohi, Ghazipur, Jaunpur, Sultanpur, Prayagraj, Raebareli, Lucknow, Ayodhya, Gonda, Basti. In some places, it has been raining since last night. Due to which a decrease of 3 to 4 degrees Celsius has been recorded in the temperature.

It will rain for three days.

Professor Manoj Kumar Srivastava, a meteorologist at Banaras Hindu University, said that it will rain in different districts of UP between August 7 and August 9. The weather department has issued an orange alert in some districts and a yellow alert in some districts. The low pressure of monsoon formed in the south of UP is now shifting towards the north. Due to which rain is expected in more than 20 districts of eastern UP. At the same time, it will also rain in many districts of western UP including Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Shahjahanpur.

According to the data , rain occurred in more than 35 districts of UP on Tuesday. The maximum rainfall was recorded in Maharajganj. Apart from this, Varanasi also received good rainfall in the afternoon. This spell of rain continued throughout the night. On the other hand, raindrops also fell from the sky in Mirzapur, Sonbhadra and other districts.

On the other hand, due to rain, the Ganga river wreaked havoc in many districts. The water level of Ganga is rising in Varanasi, Mirzapur, Prayagraj, Kanpur, Kannauj. The connecting road of all the 84 ghats in Varanasi has been broken. Many ghats have also submerged.
