The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has given a big update regarding cold in entire North India including Delhi-NCR. There is good news for people suffering from heat in the second last week of October. If the Meteorological Department is to be believed, cold may enter in the last week of October.
Haryana: Cold will enter Haryana before Delhi. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is expected to change here from October 24 due to north-western winds. Snowfall on the mountains may cause frost in the plains of Haryana. This is also likely to cause a sharp drop in day and night temperatures.
The Meteorological Department says that winter may start in Delhi-NCR after October 25. That means, apart from Delhi, people of Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Greater Noida will have to wait till October 25 for the cold.
According to IMD, the temperature in Haryana may drop to seven degrees after 4 days. However, the weather will remain clear for the next 2-3 days and it will be hot during the day. However, the night temperature will fall and a mild cold will continue to be felt.
Punjab: Weather will change in Punjab from October 24. According to IMD, light to moderate rain may occur at some places in Punjab on October 24. The temperature will drop after the rain.
The Meteorological Department says that the weather will remain dry in Punjab from 21 to 23 October. However, the trend of decline in day and night temperatures will continue gradually. Cold may enter Punjab after 27th.
Rajasthan: Except for some parts of Rajasthan, rain has stopped in most places. After this, a mild cold has started being felt in these areas. However, the weather will remain dry here during the day till October 25.
According to the Meteorological Department, there may be light rain in 4 divisions of Rajasthan in the next 48 hours. After this, the mercury may fall rapidly. IMD believes that cold will enter Rajasthan completely after Diwali.
Uttar Pradesh: Talking about Uttar Pradesh, the weather may change in eastern Uttar Pradesh after October 24 and the mercury will fall rapidly. The weather will remain clear and hot for the next two days i.e. till October 23.
According to the Meteorological Department, there may be light rain in eastern UP on October 24. However, the weather is expected to remain clear in western UP during this period. Only after this rain will the temperature drop and cold may arrive by October 26.
Bihar: According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in Bihar may change after October 23. Strong winds are expected here. After this, cold may enter. However, before the cold, there may be rain in many parts of the state between October 24-26.
Jharkhand: The effect of low pressure forming in the Bay of Bengal is visible in the weather of Jharkhand. The weather here may change from October 23 and it may rain at some places. There is a possibility of rain on October 24 and 25 as well. In West Bengal too, the mercury will fall after 26 and cold may enter.
