The mood of the weather is changing in many states across the country. There is heat in some places, while there is a possibility of heavy rain, storm and lightning in other places. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, there is heavy rain with thunder in many areas of eastern and central India.
According to the weather department, heavy rains are expected in Bihar, Chhattisgarh, eastern Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Odisha in the next 48 hours. However, this is causing a lot of trouble for the local people. According to IMD, heavy rains are expected in Chhapra, Gopalganj, Siwan, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur in Bihar. On the other hand, storm conditions have developed in Bokaro, Chaibasa, Dumka, Hazaribagh and Ranchi in Jharkhand.
Heat will increase in Delhi NCR
The maximum day temperature in Delhi-NCR can reach 35 to 38 degree Celsius, which is a few degrees more than normal. The minimum temperature is also expected to be around 16 to 19 degrees. The effect of heat will increase due to strong sunlight, but humidity can also be felt due to the presence of moisture in the air. The heat wave will continue in states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Rajasthan, but due to the effect of western disturbance, light rain or drizzle is expected in these areas. Especially in the northern parts of Rajasthan like Hanumangarh and Ganganagar, there are chances of cloud cover and light rain. At the same time, moderate rain with thunder may occur in West Bengal and Odisha in eastern India. According to Skymet, strong winds may also blow in these areas, which will change the weather.
Cold continues in Jammu-Kashmir and Himachal
On the other hand, light to moderate rain is expected in Tamil Nadu and Kerala in South India, while the temperature in coastal areas will remain slightly above normal. Snowfall may stop in hilly areas like Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, however, the cold will remain. Overall, the weather in India on Monday (March 24, 2025) will be hot, humid and rainy.
Winds will blow at a speed of 60 to 80 kilometers per hour
The weather department has predicted lightning along with storm in Uttar Pradesh. Not only UP, there are high chances of lightning in Chhattisgarh, eastern Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Sikkim. Along with this, winds are expected to blow at a speed of 60 to 80 kilometers per hour in these states. In many places in the hilly states of North India, the maximum temperature has reached above 36 degrees.
