Today Weather Forecast: The weather in many states of North India including Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh has changed suddenly. There are dense clouds in many districts of Punjab and there may be rain.

Meteorologists have predicted dense fog and cold wave in the state on January 7 and 8. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has also issued an orange alert for two days. During this period, a warning of rain has also been given. According to the information, some areas of Punjab also received rain from last evening till late night. After the rain, cold winds blew which kept people cold.

The entire life of the people has been affected due to the cold wave in the states of North India. Punjab and the entire North India are in the grip of fog, cold wave and severe cold. Meanwhile, light rain changed the weather in Delhi NCR on Monday. People got relief from the fog but the situation got worse due to the cold. The Meteorological Department said that due to rain, the minimum temperature in Delhi NCR was recorded at 9.6 degrees Celsius. A rain alert has been issued again in Delhi this weekend.

The Meteorological Department says that a new Western Disturbance will develop in the coming days. Due to this, there will be a sharp drop in the minimum temperature. The Meteorological Department said that due to the Western Disturbance from Jammu and Kashmir, the winds there will become even drier and then reach the plains, due to which the minimum temperature may fall to 6 degrees Celsius. Another Western Disturbance will develop by the end of this week. Due to this, there will be heavy rain with thunder not only in the mountains but also in the plains including Delhi NCR.

The Meteorological Department says that the cold is going to get even more severe in the coming days. Another Western Disturbance is moving towards the Western Himalayas. This weather system (Western Disturbance) will activate the Cyclonic Circulation over North Rajasthan and adjoining Punjab and Haryana. Due to this, rain and wind activities will start first in North Rajasthan. Gradually, these activities will spread to many parts of Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh and Delhi NCR.

Cold weather will increase further

According to Skymet Weather, due to the withdrawal of the Western Disturbance, there will be a sharp drop in the minimum temperature in the coming days. Cold wave will be observed in some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan. The nights will be very cold, however this cold weather will not last long as a new Western Disturbance will change the weather.
