Varanasi: Many districts of UP will receive heavy rain on Saturday as well. Due to the monsoon being active, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in 30 districts.

During this, lightning may also strike in many districts. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in eastern and western UP till August 13. Let us tell you that in the last few days, many parts of UP have been witnessing more rain at some places and less rain at others.

Professor Manoj Kumar Srivastava, a meteorologist at Banaras Hindu University, said that the monsoon trough line is passing through Sonbhadra, due to which the movement of clouds has increased in Purvanchal in the last 24 hours and the rain is also continuing. The temperature has also decreased with the rain.

According to IMD, there may be good rain from Varanasi to Gorakhpur on Saturday. On August 10, there will

be rain in many districts of Purvanchal including Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Varanasi, Chandauli, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Ballia, Mau, Azamgarh, Prayagraj, Pratapgarh.

Apart from this , rain alert has been issued in many districts
including Lucknow, Ayodhya, Rae Bareli, Gorakhpur, Basti, Deoria, Banda, Chitrakoot, Shravasti, Kaushambi, Fatehpur, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Bahraich, Kanpur, Agra, Mathura, Meerut, Aligarh, Etawah, Mainpuri, Jhansi, Mahoba, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Lalitpur.

Rain, flood and inundation wreak havoc;

let us tell you that on Friday, many districts including Varanasi, Jaunpur, Sitapur, Lucknow, Gorakhpur witnessed heavy rains at some places and less at others. On the one hand, due to rain, roads of many districts of UP have turned into ponds, while on the other hand, Ganga and Saryu have started scaring people. In Barabanki, Saryu is close to the danger mark. While Ganga has taken a terrible form in many districts including Varanasi, Prayagraj.
