Weather Alert: The weather is changing in many states of the country. Amidst the rising heat, rain and strong winds are continuing in some states.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain and snowfall occurred in the Western Himalayan region today i.e. on Tuesday. The IMD estimates that there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in some areas in the next three-four days. The Meteorological Department estimates that the weather will remain normal in the rest of the country. The heat will increase further in the coming days.
The impact of the weather system will be seen
According to a report by Skymet Weather, the Western Disturbance is currently located in the form of a trough from the lower to the upper troposphere level. A cyclonic circulation has formed in the western Mediterranean Indian Ocean and adjacent Maldives areas. It extends up to 5.8 km above sea level. Apart from this, a cyclonic circulation has formed in Assam and nearby areas. Due to meteorological activities, rain may fall in some parts of the country today and tomorrow. Apart from this, there is a possibility of strong winds. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert.
Snowfall and rain continue in Kashmir
Snowfall continues in Jammu and Kashmir. Fresh snowfall occurred in some areas located in the higher reaches of Kashmir on Tuesday, while heavy rain lashed most parts of the valley. Snowfall occurred in some areas of Baramulla as well as in Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Sonamarg, Kokernag, Kupwara and other higher reaches of Kashmir. While heavy rain was recorded in Srinagar and other parts of the valley during the last 24 hours.
Strong winds may blow in Delhi
The weather in the country’s capital Delhi remains dry. On Tuesday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 15.06 degrees Celsius, which is 2 degrees above the average. The Meteorological Department estimates that strong winds may blow in some areas of Delhi in a day or two.
Impact of weather activities on Rajasthan
The weather in Rajasthan also remains dry. The Meteorological Department estimates that there may be a decline in the maximum and minimum temperatures in the next two days. According to the IMD, there is no possibility of any western disturbance being active in the state in the next one week. The department said, “During the next 48 hours, strong northerly winds with a speed of 20 to 25 kmph will blow in most parts, due to which the maximum and minimum temperatures may fall by two to four degrees Celsius.” According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature may rise again in Rajasthan from March 7 to 8.
How will the weather be across the country in the next 24 hours?
According to the Skymet Weather report, light to moderate rain and thundershowers are likely to occur in East Assam and Arunachal Pradesh during the next 24 hours. It is estimated that light snowfall may also occur in Arunachal Pradesh. Apart from this, light to moderate rain is also likely in Lakshadweep and Kerala. Light to moderate rain and snowfall may occur in the upper areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Skymet Weather has predicted landslides in the Western Himalayan region during the next 24 hours.
