People are a bit troubled amid heat and humidity in the capital Delhi, while changes in the weather are being seen in other areas. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an important weather forecast for the next few days. Let us know what the weather is going to be like in different parts of India in the coming days.

Weather in Delhi and North India

The month of November in Delhi is still experiencing relatively heat and humidity. Light fog is visible in the morning and evening, but the heat is felt due to the sunshine during the day. However, the Meteorological Department has predicted that after November 15, snowfall may start in the hilly areas, due to which the temperature in the plains may drop and the effect of cold will increase.

Dense fog in North India

According to the Meteorological Department, between November 12 and 17, dense fog may occur in the morning and evening in states like Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. In the last few days, visibility was zero due to dense fog in Amritsar in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. Dense to very dense fog is also expected in western parts of Punjab and some parts of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan. Especially, dense fog can be seen in the western areas of Punjab during night and morning. During this time, visibility can be up to 50 meters, which can affect traffic. Apart from this, light fog can be seen in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, but there is no possibility of any major change in these areas.

Heavy rain in South India

The Meteorological Department has said that a cyclonic circulation has become active in the southwest Bay of Bengal, which can lead to rain and storm conditions. Its effect can be seen in many states of South India. Light to moderate rains may occur over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Puducherry and Rayalaseema under the influence of Western Disturbance from November 14. Apart from this, there is a possibility of lightning and thunderstorms over coastal areas of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, parts of Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and coastal areas of Karnataka between November 12 and 15. In particular, heavy rains may occur over isolated parts of Tamil Nadu between November 12 and 17.

Snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir

The first snowfall of the season has occurred in Jammu and Kashmir, due to which the weather there has become very cold. On November 11, snowfall was seen in the high altitude areas of Jammu and Kashmir like Kishtwar, Gurez and Gulmarg. According to the Meteorological Department, snowfall in the Kashmir Valley may increase further in the coming days. This will further reduce the temperature there. Apart from this, there is also a possibility of snowfall in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and north-western Rajasthan. With the increase in cold, the effect of cold may increase in these areas.

Weather of other states

The weather is likely to remain dry in Jharkhand and some parts of central India for the next four days. There is a possibility of fog and mist in Jharkhand on November 12, but later the weather will remain dry. The weather condition will remain normal in Bihar too and there will be no significant change here too. On the other hand, the temperature in north-western Rajasthan, Gujarat and Chhattisgarh is likely to remain 2-3 degrees more than normal. Day and night temperatures may remain slightly increased in these areas.

Minimum Temperature and Temperature Changes

There has been no significant change in the minimum temperature during the last 24 hours in many parts of India. Minimum temperatures were recorded 3-5 degrees Celsius above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Northwest Rajasthan and Bihar. At the same time, temperatures may be 2-3 degrees above normal in Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Southwest Rajasthan and Gujarat.

Weather conditions for the coming days

According to the Meteorological Department, between November 12 and 17, many parts of India will see a change in weather conditions. During this time, cold and fog may increase in the plains due to increased snowfall in the hilly areas of North India. At the same time, rain and storm conditions may persist in the coastal areas of South India. In particular, more rain and fog are expected in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu. Apart from this, snowfall and cold may increase in Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and northwestern Rajasthan.
