If authorities believe that a person will not leave Canada after a certain period of time, they have the power to revoke a permit. A permit can also be revoked if a person’s documents are stolen, lost, or destroyed.

The new rules also state that if students are denied work and study visas, their immigration documents will be cancelled. In addition, if a student’s study permit is cancelled, he will face difficulty in obtaining a work permit after completing his studies.
