However, this temporary ban will continue on all countries till mid-June i.e. till the completion of Hajj this year. After that the visa program will be implemented normally again.
Umrah visa can be obtained till 13 April
Saudi Arabian officials said that foreigners can come for Umrah visa only till the 13th of this month i.e. 13th April. Umrah visa will be stopped after 13th April.
After all, why did the Crown Prince take such a decision ?
In fact, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has taken this decision of visa ban this year keeping in mind the death of thousands of people last year. Last year, more than 1,000 people died in a stampede during Haj. The number of unauthorised Haj pilgrims was high among those who died. In such a situation, the reason behind this temporary visa ban this year is to stop unregistered Haj pilgrims.
