The Government of India is preparing to update the speed limit of vehicles. According to Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, India’s new highway and expressway network can handle the fast speed. In such a situation, vehicles will now be able to run at high speed on these roads.
Speaking at the Mint Jetworks Smart Manufacturing Summit 2023 on Thursday , Nitin Gadkari said that the low-speed limit on new highways creates difficulties for commuters.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that the preparation of new rules for speed limit will give relief to the people. However, before making new rules, the central government will hold talks with the states.
