Vehicles will be able to run at full speed on Yamuna Expressway from next week. Yamuna Expressway management has decided to change the speed limit imposed due to cold and dense fog. Vehicles will be able to run at the old speed limit on the expressway from February 16.

Due to fog in winter, visibility on the roads decreases, making driving difficult. Due to this, a plan to reduce the speed limit was implemented on Yamuna Expressway on December 15. The management also exchanged time schedules and phone numbers to take the injured to the hospital. To crack down on overloaded vehicles, four teams were deployed on both sides from Zero Point to Jewar Toll.

However, after January 16, light vehicles will be able to run at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour and heavy vehicles at 80 kilometers per hour. Till now, the speed limit on the expressway has been fixed at 75 kilometers per hour for light vehicles and 60 kilometers per hour for heavy vehicles from December 15.
