Vande Sadharan Train: The locomotives of the new Vande Sadharan train are being manufactured at the Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) and the train coaches will be made at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai.
For the poor section of the country, the Government of India is soon going to bring Vande Ordinary train on the lines of Vande Bharat. Whose name will be Vande Sadharan or Vande Antyodaya. It will be a non AC train though its speed will be like Vande Bharat. After ramping up the operation of express trains, the Indian Railways is now looking to introduce a new Vande Ordinary train with upgraded second class unreserved and second class 3-level sleeper coaches.
Some facilities will be like Vande Bharat
The name of the new train has not been decided yet, but it is likely to be named Vande Sadharan or Vande Antyodaya. Which is indicating that these trains will be made for better travel of the common man. An official said in a media report that the new Vande Sadharan Express will be given some facilities like the Vande Bharat Express trains.
But the biggest difference between Vande Bharat and Vande Saadharan train is that Vande Bharat Express is an automatic train from both the sides, while on the other hand Vande Saadharan will be run by locos. The problem is that most trains are pulled by a locomotive, it will have locomotives at both ends.
You will get these facilities
Importantly, with a locomotive at each end, push-pull technology will be used to accelerate the train. This will also eliminate the need for locomotive reversal at the terminating station, thereby reducing the turnaround time. The LHB train will have 2 second luggage, guard and divyang-friendly coaches, 8 second class unreserved coaches and 12 second class 3-tier sleeper coaches. All coaches will be non-AC.
Prototype is being prepared here
The locomotives of the new Vande Sadharan train are being manufactured at the Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) and the train coaches will be made at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai. ICF is the only coach factory of Indian Railways which is currently manufacturing Vande Bharat Express trains. A railway official said in a media report that the prototype of the new train is expected to be ready by the end of this year, with the Railway Board keeping a target of October.
