Vande Bharat Sleeper Train: To further improve rail travel in the country, Vande Bharat Sleeper Train running from New Delhi to Srinagar is going to be started this month. Passengers have been waiting for a long time for the train to run from Delhi to Srinagar. Railways also have high hopes about this route. Recently, some media reports claimed that initially, three trains will be operated by the Railways on this route. Vande Bharat Sleeper Train running between Delhi and Srinagar has been built with very modern technology.
The journey of 800 km will be completed in 13 hours
Passengers traveling in this sleeper train of Railways will get a very fast and comfortable travel experience. This train has been specially designed keeping in mind tourists and business travelers. Media reports are claiming that this train will complete the journey of more than 800 km from New Delhi to Srinagar in just 13 hours. According to reports, this train will leave from New Delhi Railway Station at 7 pm and will reach Srinagar at 8 am the next morning. The train will stop at only a few stations on the way, including Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jammu Tawi and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra.
A look at New Delhi-Srinagar Vande Bharat
- The Vande Bharat train going from New Delhi to Srinagar will cover a distance of more than 800 km in just less than 13 hours.
- This train will leave from New Delhi Railway Station at 7 pm and will reach Srinagar at 8 am the next morning.
- This train is planned to stop at only a few stations on the way. These stations include Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jammu Tawi and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra.
- This train will run on ‘Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link’ (USBRL). This will reduce the travel time a lot and will provide more convenience to the passengers.
- Passengers will be able to travel in three types of coaches in this train. The fare of AC 3 tier will be Rs 2,000, AC 2 tier will be Rs 2,500 and AC first class will be around Rs 3,000. This will enable passengers of every budget to travel easily in the train.
- Passengers can book tickets through IRCTC website or app or by visiting the railway station.
- This train has been prepared by an Indian company named Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML).
- Many modern facilities have been provided in this train for comfortable travel to the passengers. These include facilities like better seats, good lighting and air conditioner.
Let us tell you that Vande Bharat Sleeper Train was first launched by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav in September 2024. In this new train service, the speed of travel, comfort of passengers and efficiency of the train have been given the highest importance. The aim of the train service is to set a new standard for long distance travel at night. Long distance journeys can be completed very easily and better with Vande Bharat Sleeper Train.
