The Vande Bharat Sleeper Train left Ahmedabad at 7:29 am on Wednesday and reached Mumbai Central at 1:50 pm. The Vande Bharat Train (Sitting) running between Ahmedabad and Mumbai Central takes 5 hours 25 minutes. While the Shatabdi Express covers the distance in 6 hours 35 minutes and the Duronto Express in 6 hours 50 minutes. Other trains take more than 7 hours to complete this journey.
Meanwhile, considering the distance of 180 km between Mumbai-Ahmedabad, the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train will run with sleeper berths. This will provide faster travel and more convenient and comfortable travel to the passengers than before. The testing of the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train is in the final stage. During the trial, the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train ran at a speed of 130 km per hour. According to the tests conducted so far, it has been found that this train has the capacity to run at 180 km per hour.

According to a Railway official, the first Vande Bharat sleeper train in Maharashtra is likely to run from Nagpur to Mumbai and Nagpur to Pune.

This sleeper train will run faster than Rajdhani, Tejas, Shatabdi trains. These trains are specially designed for long-distance travel. Therefore, the ticket price of Vande Bharat Sleeper Train is also likely to be 10 to 15 percent higher than Rajdhani and Tejas trains.
