Vande Bharat: The Central Government has given a big gift to Jammu and Kashmir. The government has announced to run Vande Bharat train. This Vande Bharat train will run on Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Railway Line (USBRL). At present 48 Vande Bharat trains are running in India. The central government has set a target to run 4,500 trains by the year 2047.
Vande Bharat: The country’s most beautiful and modern train will soon be seen running in the beautiful valleys of Jammu and Kashmir. Railways has made preparations to run the semi-highspeed train Vande Bharat Express in Kashmir. It will be run on the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla railway line (Udhampur Srinagar Baramulla Rail Link-USBRL). Overall, Vande Bharat train will be run in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The Central Government may flag off the Vande Bharat train before the Lok Sabha elections to be held in the year 2024. This eight-coach electric train will be the first Vande Bharat Express of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The line on which this train is to run. Its electrification work has been completed. The final phase of work is still pending in some tunnels. A railway official said that this Vande Bharat train will be inaugurated soon.
Kashmir will be connected to railways
Let us tell you that in the month of March this year, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw had announced that the work of USBRL will be completed by December, 2023 or January, 2024. After this, a Vande Bharat Express will be run between Jammu and Srinagar. On March 26, Ashwini Vaishnav traveled by trolley on the track laid on the world’s highest railway bridge over the Chenab River. Railway officials were also present with him. What will be the benefit to the passengers?
Once connected to the railway line, the journey from Jammu to Srinagar will be only 3.5 hours. Also, passengers will be able to enjoy a safe, scenic and comfortable journey in every season. At the same time, farmers of Kashmir will also be able to easily transport many other crops including apples to other parts of the country. Apart from this, possibilities of tourism are also being explored at many other places including Chenab Bridge.
Vande Bharat trains will also be built in Haryana and Maharashtra
Railways has so far received the highest amount of Rs 2.4 lakh crore for the year 2023-24. Vaishnav had said that till next year, 2-3 Vande Bharat train sets will roll out from the factory every week. Vaishnav had said that apart from ICF Chennai, Vande Bharat trains will be manufactured at Sonipat in Haryana and Latur district of Maharashtra.
