New Vande Bharat Trains: Indian Railways has started preparations to further expand the Vande Bharat Express network. Two new Vande Bharat Express will run between Patna to Siliguri and Lucknow.
New Vande Bharat Trains: The Government of India has decided to further expand the network of the country’s popular train Vande Bharat Express. Two new Vande Bharat Express have been announced. Both the trains will start from Patna. Both these Vande Bharats will connect Patna to Lucknow, Ayodhya and Siliguri.
Both these Vande Bharat trains have been designed for long distance travel. Through these Vande Bharat trains, not only will the passengers get convenience but the travel time will also be reduced. These have been designed to run faster than Rajdhani Trains.
First Vande Bharat will run between Patna and Siliguri
The first Vande Bharat Express will run between Patna to Siliguri. It will cover the distance of 471 km in just 7 hours. This train will leave from Siliguri at 6 am and reach Patna at 1 pm. In return, the same train will leave from Patna Junction at 3 pm and reach Siliguri at 10 pm.
This service will continue 6 days a week except Tuesday. This decision has been taken due to the ongoing maintenance work in New Jalpaiguri. Patna Siliguri Vande Bharat train will connect the eastern and north-eastern regions of the country. It will complete the journey in less time than other trains.
Second Vande Bharat will run between Patna and Lucknow
The second Vande Bharat Express will run between Patna and Lucknow. It will also pass through the religious city Ayodhya. At present the timing of the train has not been decided. It is being told that it will leave from Patna at 6 am and reach Lucknow at 10.30 pm. It will pass through Deendayal Upadhyay Junction. Due to this, this train will be able to cover the distance between these two cities quickly. Trial runs of both these trains have started. The final schedule will be announced soon.
Work to modernize 554 railway stations continues
With the running of these two Vande Bharat Express, the campaign to modernize Indian Railways will accelerate. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated the modernization of 554 railway stations and 1500 road over bridges and underpasses at a cost of Rs 41 thousand crore under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. This also includes 43 railway stations and 92 ROB/RUB of Northern Railway. So far, 1318 stations have been identified for redevelopment under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
