Vande Bharat Express train should run between these routes, proposal put before railway

There is a demand to run Vande Bharat Express train between Bihar’s capital Patna and Bhagalpur city. Ajay Mandal, MP from Bhagalpur, has put this proposal before the railways.

Along with Bhagalpur-Patna Vande Bharat, he also demanded to run MEMU trains between Bhagalpur and Jamalpur. This information was given by Rupa Mandal of Malda Railway Division.

He said that a high level meeting was held on Tuesday in the presence of Eastern Railway General Manager Milind Deoskar and the managers of Asansol and Malda Railway Divisions. This meeting was held in Asansol, in which MPs from all the concerned areas also participated. In this, Ajay Mandal, MP from Bhagalpur, raised the issue of development of rail infrastructure in the eastern Bihar region.

Asansol MP Shatrughan Sinha praised the progress of Eastern Railway under the leadership of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. He also proposed to extend the Gaya-Howrah Vande Bharat Express to Varanasi and start the Asansol-Puri Vande Bharat train.

MP from Malda North, West Bengal, Khagen Murmu proposed to change the rake of Gaur Express and AC coach in Bhagalpur-Malda Intercity Express. MP from Banka, Bihar, Girdhari Yadav proposed to revise the timing of the train running between Bhagalpur-Deoghar, stoppage of Kaviguru Express at Dhanauri and opening of PRS in Katoria. MP from Jharkhand, Sarfaraz Ahmed demanded stoppage of Patna-Howrah Vande Bharat Express at Madhupur and starting of Giridih-New Delhi Humsafar Express train three days a week.
