Vande Bharat Express running across the country will be upgraded to Kavach

New Delhi. Currently, 52 Vande Bharat Expresses are running across the country. This train, which is a favourite among passengers, covers all the states (except the Northeast).

Indian Railways is going to make a big change related to the safety of passengers in all these trains, which will make travelling in these trains safe to a great extent. This has been told by the Railway Minister himself.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the safety and security of passengers is the priority of the railways. In this regard, Kavach 4.O has been approved in place of Kavach 3.2 to prevent train accidents. Now Kavach 4.O will be installed on railway trains, stations and tracks.

This change will happen on Vande Bharat

The Railway Minister said that the 52 Vande Bharat Expresses running at present are equipped with cabs, but cabs 3.2 are installed in them, but after 4.0 is approved, Vande Bharat Express will be updated. In this way, cabs installed in all trains will be upgraded. However, he said that it will not take much time. Work will start in this direction soon.

So far about 1500 kms. armor on the track

So far, Kavach has been installed on 1,465 km of track. Kavach has also been installed on 121 engines. Agra division has prepared Kavach network on 80 km long section between Mathura (excluding station) and Palwal to test it on some engines and trains.

Features of Kavach 4.O

Kachhav 4.O technology is completely safe. Its trials have been done from hilly areas to sea coast and from snow-covered areas to dense forests. After its trials were successful in all areas, RDSO has given its approval. After this, the Railway Ministry has decided to implement it on two more routes.

Tax will be imposed on all engines in 4 years 4.O

There are about 20 thousand engines in Indian Railways. According to the Railways, every year about 5 thousand engines will be fitted with Kachv 4.O. In this way, all engines will be equipped with Kachv 4.O in the next four years. Along with this, Kachv 4.O will also be fitted on tracks and station points. After the installation of Kachv at all three places, the possibility of collision between trains will be eliminated.
