Vande Bharat Express: The number of Vande Bharat Express in Bihar may increase soon. The railways have seriously started working on the possibility of operating not one but four Vande Bharat trains from Muzaffarpur Junction.
On the instructions of the Railway Board, East Central Railway (ECR) has entrusted the Sonpur division with the task of preparing a feasibility report at the station level. Through this report, it will be assessed how commercially successful the operation of Vande Bharat Express can be.
Possible operations on four major routes
A proposal to run Vande Bharat trains from Muzaffarpur to New Delhi, Howrah, New Jalpaiguri and Varanasi has already been sent. Now the Railway Board has started working on it at a fast pace and has asked for a feasibility report. The station management has to prepare this report within 15 days and send it to the headquarters.
Opinion taken from passengers
The station’s commercial and operating department officials are collecting data by taking opinions from passengers. This report will be prepared confidentially so that impartiality is maintained. It will be seen how much demand there is, which routes have more passengers and what impact will the operation of these trains have on other trains.

A feasibility report is a study done to determine whether a proposed project is feasible or not. Aspects such as technical, economic, legal and timeliness etc. are analyzed in this report. This determines whether the project will be successful or not.
