How does UPI work?
The full form of UPI is Unified Payments Interface. It is a real-time payment system that helps in instant money transfer between two bank accounts through a mobile platform. Through UPI you can access multiple bank accounts through a single mobile application. It has been created by the National Payments Corporation, which is supervised jointly by the Reserve Bank and the Indian Banks Association.
How to activate UPI through Aadhaar?
Existing UPI users need to enter the last 6 digits of their Aadhaar number to verify through Aadhaar card on PhonePe app. After this you will get an OTP from the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) and your bank. In this way your UPI will be activated. You will then be able to transfer money from UPI to anyone using the PhonePe app.
