It is possible to change UPI PIN even without debit card

Let us tell you that changing the PIN from time to time reduces the possibility of fraud. Earlier, you had to use a debit card to change the UPI PIN, but now it is possible to change the PIN even without it, but for this you must have an Aadhaar card. Let us tell you that the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) has allowed setting UPI PIN through Aadhaar card. After this change, digital transactions will become even easier and more and more people will be able to take advantage of the UPI payment system.

Step by step process to set UPI PIN with Aadhaar card

If you want to set UPI PIN without debit card, then first check that your mobile number is linked to your Aadhaar card and the same mobile number should also be registered in your bank. Because if you do not have the same mobile number registered in the bank or Aadhaar card, then you will not be able to take advantage of this facility. If you have the same mobile number registered in both the bank and Aadhaar card, then you can set your PIN by following the steps given below

Step 1- First of all open the UPI app on your smartphone and then link your bank account to the app

Step 2- After adding the bank account, select the option to set UPI PIN.

Step 3- Now you will see two options, Debit Card and Aadhaar OTP.

Step 4- From both the options, choose the option of setting UPI PIN through Aadhaar OTP.

Step 5- After this, validate your Aadhaar by entering the first six numbers of your Aadhaar.

Step 6- Then an OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to the mobile number registered in your bank account, which you will have to enter and verify.

Step 7- After OTP is verified, you will get the option to set a new UPI PIN. In this way, you can set your UPI PIN even without the help of a debit card.

Change in UPI transaction limit

Let us tell you that the government also wants more and more people to use UPI transactions. Recently, RBI has increased the transaction limit of UPI Lite from Rs 500 to Rs 1000 per transaction. At the same time, the limit of UPI Lite Wallet has also been increased from Rs 2000 to Rs 5000. Not only this, the Reserve Bank of India has increased the transaction limit of UPI 123 PAY from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 per transaction.
