UPI Lite: After the arrival of UPI Lite, online transactions have become much easier. National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) keeps adding many new features to UPI from time to time for the convenience of the people.

Now once again NPCI is going to add a new feature in UPI Lite, after which the users doing online transactions through UPI Lite will get relief from many such hassles, which cause them trouble in doing online transactions.

These features are available in UPI Lite

The light version of UPI is called UPI Lite in which you do not even need internet to transfer money. This is an on-device wallet feature in which you can transfer small amounts in real time even without internet. UPI Lite can be used on Bhim and Paytm. Currently, a total of eight banks allow the use of UPI Lite feature. At the same time, you can transact up to Rs 4000 in 24 hours through UPI Lite. The limit on the number of transactions has not been fixed.

For UPI payment you need 6 or 4 digits, in UPI Lite money can be transferred without PIN. You can also receive money through UPI, but in UPI Lite you only get permission to debit money.

This feature will be an add-on in UPI Lite

Top up feature in UPI Lite from October 31 Users are going to get the facility of auto top-up in UPI Lite feature. This will get rid of the hassle of adding balance to their account again and again. According to the circular of NPCI, from October 31, users will be able to use the auto top-up option to redeposit the amount.

The UPI Lite balance will be automatically loaded from the account to UPI Lite with the amount selected by the users. Its purpose is to provide users the facility to load up to Rs 2000 in their UPI Lite wallet at any time and pay up to Rs 500 from the wallet without UPI PIN. However, users will also be able to turn off the auto top-up option at any time.
