7th Pay Commission DA- DR Hike: The government has given a wonderful Diwali gift to the government employees and pensioners of UP. The government has announced a 4 percent increase in the Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief (DA-DR) of the employees. Along with this, bonus has also been announced, under which every employee will be given a bonus of Rs 6908. Let us tell you that the dearness allowance of UP employees was 34 percent earlier, which has increased to 38 percent. This increase has been implemented from July 1, 2022.

Government made big announcement

After the announcement of the government, the Dearness Allowance of the employees of UP has increased to the same level as that of the Central employees. In fact, recently the Narendra Modi government at the Center has also increased the dearness allowance of central employees by 4 percent. CM Yogi has also approved the bonus before Diwali. It has been decided to give 6908 bonus to every employee for the financial year 2021-22. After this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also congratulated the employees and pensioners of the state by tweeting.

Benefits to 18 lakh government employees and 12 lakh pensioners

After this decision of the UP government, 18 lakh government employees and 12 lakh pensioners of different departments of the state will get the benefit. Let us tell you that the government revises dearness allowance twice a year. It is worth noting that this increase has been announced to be implemented from July 1, 2022, according to this, the state government employees will also get 3 months arrears this month. Let us tell you that on paying dearness allowance and dearness relief this month, there will be an additional burden of 296 crores on the government every month. On the other hand, if you add 3 months arrears, then there will be an additional burden of 1184 crores on the government for the payment from July to October.

Calculation on maximum basic salary

1. Basic salary of employee Rs 56,900
2. New dearness allowance (38%) Rs 21,622/month
3. Dearness allowance so far (34%) Rs 19,346/month
4. How much dearness allowance increased by 21,622-19,346 = Rs 2276/month
5. Increase in annual salary 2276 X12 = Rs 27,312

Calculation on minimum basic salary

1. Basic salary of employee Rs 18,000
2. New dearness allowance (38%) Rs 6840/month
3. Dearness allowance so far (34%) Rs 6120/month
4. How much dearness allowance increased 6840-6120 = Rs 720/month
5. Increase in annual salary 720 X12 = Rs 8640

Accordingly, a total of Rs 27,312 will come in the account of state employees with maximum basic salary i.e. Rs 56,900 annually. On the other hand, the government has announced a bonus of Rs 6908 for every employee. That is, an additional Rs 27,312 + 6908 = 34,220 will come in the account of the employees.
