But the Board (UP Board) has released the temporary list of examination centers for these examinations on Thursday. Also, there is a possibility that the board may soon release the datesheet of class 10th, 12th exam (UP Board 10th, 12th Exam Date Sheet). Board officials said that the board’s Class 10th and Class 12th examinations will be conducted at 7,864 centers spread across 75 districts of the state.

Reduction in examination centres:

In the year 2023, the examination was conducted at 8,753 centres. This shows that compared to last year, there has been a huge reduction in the number of examination centers by 889 centres. According to the temporary list released by UP.

According to board secretary Divyakant Shukla, 1,017 government secondary schools, 3,537 government-aided secondary schools and another 3,310 unaided secondary schools will act as examination centers for the 2024 edition of the high school and intermediate examinations. “By setting up fewer examination centres, it will be possible for us to better monitor the examination process,” Shukla said.

More than 55 lakh students have registered.

A total of 55,08,206 students have registered for the UP Board High School and Intermediate Examination-2024. This includes 29,47,324 high school students (15,71,686 boys and 13,75,638 girls) and another 25,60,882 intermediate students (14,12,806 boys and 11,48,076 girls). If we look at the figures of the last six years, in the year 2018, 484 government secondary schools were made examination centres, whereas for the year 2024 examination, 1,017 government schools have been made centres. Similarly, while in the year 2018, 3,414 government-aided schools were designated as examination centres, this time 3,537 centers will be set up for the 2024 examinations.
