UIDAI Launches New Safety Feature: Aadhaar card has become a very important ID card nowadays. Now UIDAI has created another security mechanism which will help in curbing the cases of fraud related to Aadhaar. Giving information about this feature, UIDAI said that for Aadhaar authentication, a new security system based on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI / ML) has been prepared, in which ‘Finger Minutia’ and ‘Finger Image’ Through tools like ) it can be checked whether the person using the Aadhaar card is correct or not. Giving information about this new security feature, UIDAI said on Monday that this will help in further strengthening Aadhaar authentication.

New feature will provide double security

UIDAI has said in its official statement that through this two-stage safety feature, it will now help in making the transactions related to Aadhaar more secure. Through this two-factor authentication fingerprint, the liveness of the person using Aadhaar will be known. This will help in detecting and controlling cyber fraudsters.

Where will this new feature be used?

UIDAI has said in its statement that this new feature will be used by banking and financial, telecom and government departments. This will also help in strengthening the payment system linked to Aadhaar. Along with this, UIDAI said that through this feature, benefits will be available till the last part of the country’s population pyramid. This Aadhaar based fingerprint authentication is now operational and can now be used easily.

The use of Aadhaar is increasing continuously in the country.

Significantly, the number of people using Aadhaar-linked authentication has increased rapidly across the country. In this, many people use it for government schemes. According to statistics, by December 2022, the base authentication transaction had crossed 880 crores. In such a situation, on an average, 70 million transactions are done every day, in which most fingerprint-based authentication is involved.
