UIDAI has extended the deadline for Aadhaar updates till June 2025. That is, now you can update your Aadhaar for free till June 2025. Earlier, its last date was 14 December.

New Delhi. If you have not updated your Aadhaar card details yet, then there is a relief news for you. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has once again extended the deadline for free Aadhaar update through its online platform, MyAadhaar. Now you can update your Aadhaar card details till June 14, 2025. However, earlier UIDAI had given a deadline of December 14 for free Aadhaar update. But now the deadline has been extended. If you have not updated your Aadhaar details in the last 10 years, then you can do so till June 2025.

But if you are thinking that you can update every detail present in your Aadhaar card for free, then you are wrong. Because the details that can be updated for free include only demographic information, such as your name, date of birth, your address and mobile number. But if you want biometric changes, such as fingerprint, photo or scan etc., then you will have to go to the Aadhaar center and update this information by paying a fee.

Let us tell you that biometric update is necessary for those whose biometrics have changed significantly due to age, surgery, accident or other conditions. This also applies to minors aged 15 years, as their biometrics need to be updated to ensure the accuracy of the data.
