Uber Shuttle: Customers will be able to pre-book a seat on their preferred route by selecting the ‘Uber Shuttle’ option on the Uber app. Apart from this, you will be able to get information about the ‘live location’ and route of the bus.
Now Uber bus service will start in the country’s capital Delhi. In fact, Uber, an app-based online cab booking service company, has received ‘Aggregator License’ from the Delhi Transport Department to operate buses in the national capital under the government’s Premium Bus Scheme.
The company said in a statement that Delhi has become the first state to grant a license for bus operations. Uber has become the first ‘aggregator’ to get a license under the Delhi Premium Bus Scheme. Uber Shuttle India head Amit Deshpande said, “After a successful pilot program, we are excited to officially launch the bus service in Delhi. During the pilot program, we saw significant demand for buses.”

Uber Shuttle option will be available in the UBER app.
Customers will be able to pre-book a seat on their preferred route by choosing the ‘Uber Shuttle’ option on the Uber app. According to the statement, the formal launch of the bus service ‘Uber Shuttle’, designed according to the daily commuting needs, has taken place after the success of the pilot program.
Uber bus service was started in Kolkata last year and is being operated in Kolkata since last year. In this regard, the company had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the government.
You will get ‘live location’ and route information.
It has been said that passengers will be able to pre-book seats up to a week in advance through the Uber app. You will be able to get information about the ‘live location’ and route of the bus and will also be able to see its expected time of arrival (ETA).
Uber Shuttle will have seating for 19 to 50 passengers.
Each shuttle vehicle will have seating for 19 to 50 passengers. It will be operated by local partners involved in bus operations using Uber’s technology.
