Abu Dhabi: There is good news for Indians visiting the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This Gulf country, a favorite of tourists, has introduced a new 90-day visa, which eliminates the need for a local sponsor.
The new UAE visa makes travel easier for tourists, business visitors and families. This multiple-entry visa can be extended for 180 days in a year. This move by the UAE is part of a plan to promote tourism and attract professionals looking for investment opportunities.
Who can apply?
To apply for a 90-day visa, travelers must be at least 18 years old and have a passport valid for at least six months. They must also provide proof of financial stability, valid travel insurance and a return ticket or confirmation of onward travel. The application fee can be paid by submitting documents online through the official portal. Visas have been made easy and e-visas can be obtained via email in about a week.
The new visa rule is a significant step towards easing access for outsiders to the UAE. The policy of allowing long-stay visas is expected to boost tourism revenues, encourage business expansion and help expatriates bring their families for longer visits. This reinforces the UAE’s reputation as a top global hub for tourism, investment and professional opportunities.
