While issuing a notification on this matter, the Transport Ministry has informed that now it has become necessary for all the people sitting on the back seat of the car to wear a seat belt (Rear Seat Belt Mandatory). It is worth noting that earlier it was mandatory to wear seat belt only in the front seat. Along with this, the government has also made the seat belt alarm mandatory.
The government has made it mandatory to install seat belt alarms in M and N category cars. With this, if a passenger does not wear a seat belt during travel, then he will also be given both audio and video warnings. Along with this, over speed alarm will also be installed on the vehicles. The Ministry of Road Transport has issued a draft notification on this matter and has asked people to submit suggestions and objections on it by October 5.

Penalty will have to be paid for ignoring the rules , according to the new traffic rules in the capital Delhi, now the person sitting behind will also have to wear a seat belt. If a person does not follow this rule, then in such a situation a fine of Rs 1,000 will be imposed on him.
