Preparations for Mahakumbh 2025 are in full swing. The excitement of this religious fair is increasing day by day. Lakhs of devotees from across the country and abroad are reaching Prayagraj and taking a dip of faith in the Sangam.
Keeping in mind the convenience of the devotees, the Yogi government and the National Highway Authority of India have taken a historic decision. Now private vehicles coming to Prayagraj during Mahakumbh will not have to pay toll tax. The state government has made 7 major toll plazas connecting Prayagraj toll-free. This exemption will continue for 40 days so that devotees can reach Prayagraj without any inconvenience.

- Ayodhya Highway: Mauaima Toll
- Lucknow Highway: Andhia Toll
- Mirzapur Road: Mungari Toll
- Varanasi Road: Handia Toll
- Kanpur Road: Kokhraj Toll
- Rewa Highway: Gane Toll Plaza
Now private vehicles will not have to pay toll tax at these toll plazas.
Which vehicles will get the benefit?
This facility is only for vehicles for personal and individual use. No exemption in toll tax will be given on commercial and heavy goods vehicles.

Government’s preparations for Mahakumbh 2025…
Around 40 crore devotees are expected to attend the Mahakumbh in 2025. The government is providing several facilities for the devotees, out of which toll free service is a big relief. Toll free facility was also provided in the 2019 Mahakumbh, which was widely availed by the devotees. Continuing this tradition, the state government and the National Highways Authority of India have implemented this facility for the 2025 Mahakumbh this time too.
