Now a committee will be formed which will include officials as well as educationists and then it will be implemented.

This system was implemented on July 8 and since then teachers have been continuously protesting against it. Primary Teachers’ Union President Dinesh Chandra Sharma and Uttar Pradesh BTC Teachers’ Union State President Anil Yadav have expressed happiness over this decision of the government.

Teachers of council schools were continuously protesting against this for the last one week. Opposition parties also stood in support of the teachers. Earlier SP and Congress had raised their voice. On Tuesday, BSP chief Mayawati also gave a statement. Mayawati wrote in her post, it is not right to impose online attendance on teachers without preparation. There is a great lack of basic facilities in council schools. A large number of teacher posts are also vacant. In such a situation, first the vacant posts of teachers should be filled and basic facilities should be provided, so that good quality education can be ensured.

Mayawati said, complaints of poor condition of government schools are common due to acute lack of necessary basic facilities. Instead of solving these serious problems by making proper budgetary provisions, the government is doing only superficial work to divert attention from it.
