Tata Consultancy Services: Tata Consultancy Services has suffered two major setbacks in a week. An American court has imposed a fine of $210 million on TCS. The company was accused by DXC Technology of stealing trade secrets. DXC was earlier known as CSC. Hearing the case of DXC, a Texas court has given this decision. However, TCS has objected to the decision and said that it will take the matter to trial again. Only last week, TCS was fined $140 million in the Epic Systems case. TCS is likely to suffer huge losses due to these decisions of the American courts.

A fine of $140 million was imposed just a week ago

Just a week ago, the US Supreme Court, while hearing the petition of Epic Systems, had imposed a fine of $ 140 million on TCS. The Indian company was accused of stealing intellectual property. After this, TCS had informed that they are expecting a loss of $ 125 million in the third quarter of the current financial year.

Gathered information about software by giving jobs

CSC and Transamerica entered into a partnership in 2014. TCS was working in collaboration with Transamerica. After this, in 2019, DXC accused TCS of giving jobs to 2200 employees of Transamerica. With its help he got knowledge about CSC software. DXC Technology was formed by the merger of Computer Sciences Corporation and Apache. The court said that TCS created its software using two software of DXC. Because of this, the charge of stealing trade secrets against them is proved.

TCS will fight further

The company spokesperson said that we respectfully oppose this decision and will approach the High Court. The company did not do any wrong in the American market. The allegations against us are not true.
