Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh government has issued a revised vacation schedule for schools in the state. Under this, the summer vacation will now be for 32 days from July 12 to August 12.
Although earlier a 38-day monsoon break was given from June 22 to July 29, during this time 4 holidays given in April have been canceled. Instead, summer vacations will be given in schools from June 1 to 8. Earlier, a holiday was given for 6 days near Lohri. The holidays vary according to the weather of different districts.
Along with this, a separate vacation schedule has also been issued for schools in Nalagarh, Fatehpur, Nagrota Suriya, Indore, Paonta Sahib, Kala Amb and Una districts. These schools will have 30 days of summer vacation from June 1 to 30. Monsoon vacations in schools will be from August 3 to 12. The festival vacation will be for 4 days around Diwali and the winter vacation will be from January 1 to 8.
Along with this, the monsoon vacations in Kullu district will be given from July 20 to August 12 and the winter vacations from January 1 to 14. Kullu will have 8 days of vacation during Dussehra, while four days of vacation will be given during Diwali. Apart from this, the schools in the state will have winter vacations from January 1 to February 11, the monsoon break will be from August 7 to 12, while 4 days of festival vacation will be given around Diwali. During this period, the same vacation schedule will be applicable in schools in the tribal areas of Kinnaur, Pangi, Bharmour and Chamba.
