‘Subhadra Yojana’ to be launched on PM Modi’s birthday says Odisha CM

Sarkari Yojana 2024: The Bharatiya Janata Party, which formed the government for the first time in Odisha, had promised this scheme for women in its manifesto. Under this, every woman will get a voucher of Rs 50 thousand.

On the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Party is going to give a big gift to women. It is reported that the government in Odisha has announced the launch of the Subhadra Yojana. Under this, women will be given a voucher of Rs 50,000. The central government is also going to help Odisha in this scheme. It is being said that it may cost Rs 80 thousand crores.

BJP, which is forming the government for the first time in Odisha, had promised this scheme for women in its manifesto. Under this, every woman will get a voucher of Rs 50,000, which can be used for two years. There are possibilities that PM Modi may also attend the program to be held on the launch of the scheme.

The scheme was approved in the first cabinet meeting led by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi. The BJP had promised to implement the scheme within 100 days of assuming office, with partial support from the central government. Currently, work is underway on how the money will be deposited, in how many installments and how much amount will be given in one installment.

The BJP manifesto had promised to cover all women living in Odisha under the scheme. Speaking to the Times of India, a senior government official said, “We are considering whether it will apply to all women or women aged 18 years and above or one woman from every household.”

He further said, ‘We will also decide whether the names of women living outside the state will be considered or not. It will also be considered whether working women and their income will be included or not.’
