The country’s largest bank, State Bank of India (SBI) has extended the last date of its ‘Amrit Kalash’ special fixed deposit scheme for general consumers. SBI Amrit Kalash Special Fixed Deposit Scheme has been extended till August 15, 2023. Earlier this scheme was valid till June 30, it was reintroduced in April 2023.

Interest up to 7.60% will be available in the scheme

According to the State Bank of India (SBI) website, the 400-day Amrit Kalash Special Fixed Deposit Scheme will fetch an interest of 7.10% to general customers. At the same time, senior citizens will get 7.6% interest. In this special scheme of State Bank, there is also the option of premature withdrawal and loan against deposit.

This is how you can invest in SBI Amrit Kalash scheme

The calculation of interest in Amrit Kalash scheme is done on monthly, quarterly and half-yearly basis. Interest will be paid on maturity for Special Term Deposits. The bank will deposit the interest, net of TDS, in the customer’s account at the end of the scheme tenure. TDS on Fixed Deposit Scheme will be deducted as per the Income Tax Act. You can book SBI Amrit Kalash Fixed Deposit Scheme through SBI Branch, Internet Banking or through SBI YONO App.
